We are not God
In everyone’s life are storms, some a result of our own choices and other because of external circumstances. In Jonah there’s a great storm that brings fear to the sailors because they can’t control the storm. Jonah has another reaction, he sleeps and chooses to ignore what’s going on around him. To help figure out what’s going on, the sailors engage in a clarifying conversation with Jonah. No matter what the storm is, we have to trust that the size of God is bigger than the size of our storm.
