Give

“But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you
—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”

2 Corinthians 8:7

Being  generous  with our  whole  lives...

FC is here to help you move from unbelief to belief in every area of life. Giving is one of those areas. When it comes to discipleship, we want to equip, develop, and invite you into practical steps of faith. We offer engagement paths in several spiritual disciplines during our service. Prayer draws you closer to God relationally. Bible reading and study build your knowledge. Worship through singing orients you to God's majesty. Communion reminds you of the need for daily grace.

Giving is an important area we invite you to partner with the Holy Spirit. When you are generous, you see God’s Kingdom grow, the mission of FC advance, and your faith move forward. Financial generosity develops trust in God's provision.

We believe in giving God our first and our best. Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all of your crops.” While most of us may not have crops to harvest, we do have resources and income we can prayerfully determine how to give our first and best in both order and priority to God.

Below you will find several resources on ways to give. We thank you for your support as we partner with the Holy Spirit’s movement of people from unbelief to belief in every area of life.

We are in an UNFINISHED season of giving and invite you to learn more here!

Ways To Give

Give Online

Our online giving platform is one of the easiest ways for you to partner in being generous with what He has given you and being obedient to His teachings of returning the first 10% back to Him.  Our giving solution is simple, fast, and secure.  You have the option of a one time gift or make a recurring donation on any frequency you choose.  You also have the option of covering the processing fees so your whole gift goes to the mission of FC.

Give In Person

In the Bible, giving was almost always a corporate experience. Not by proclaiming an amount, but as an act of worship to do together. Therefore during service we pass generosity bags down our rows during a Generosity Moment.  There are generosity boxes located in the entrances/exits of the Worship Center on the walls.  Feel free to drop cash/check on the way in or the way out of Sunday services.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

Are you 70 ½ or older?  If so, you may want to consider making charitable gifts through a QCD (qualified charitable distribution).  A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to the charitable organization of your choice. QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) for the year, as long as certain rules are met.  In addition to the benefits of giving charitably, a QCD excludes the amount donated from taxable income, which is unlike regular withdrawals from an IRA. Keeping your taxable income lower may reduce the impact to certain tax credits and deductions, including Social Security and Medicare. Also, QCDs don't require that you itemize, which due to the recent tax law changes, means you may decide to take advantage of the higher standard deduction, but still use a QCD for charitable giving. If you want to visit more about making a gift through a QCD, please speak with your financial advisor or contact Mary in our office at 812.858.5000 or mlehman@fcnewburgh.com.
